It is hard to categorise Kikadini Villas, but that may be why it is such a fabulous place to stay. The resort has four villas all designed and built to the highest quality. Each has a different theme evoking a truly sensuous experience which fools you into thinking that you have stepped in to an exotic Arabian hideaway.
There are three spectacular beachfront villas which make up 7 private rooms and suites. You can book any of these villas or the individual rooms within them. Each villa is spacious and airy and decidedly stylish.
Villa Maroc, as its name suggest is built in traditional Moroccan style. It is beautifully designed and is full of dark wood furniture and rich drapes, cushions and rugs, with paintings in deep tones to match the decor. It has two en-suite bedrooms, the master room being upstairs with a private patio and outdoor bath tub. The views of the ocean are glorious. In addition to the bedroom on the ground floor there is a large comfortable living space and patio. The villa is close to the shore so is perfectly situated for swimming or walking along the beach. The villa is 140m² and is ideal for a couple looking for a place to get away from it all.
Villa Pwani can also be rented as a whole or as private suites. The villa has two beachfront suites with double bed, each with a private outside terrace. The villa has a spacious patio and living room space, with dining table and sofas. The whole of the second floor is a roof top terrace, with dining space and lounge space, as well as an open-air bathtub. The feel is part colonial, part Arabic, part African. It’s a beautiful fusion of styles. The villa, which is near the pool area, is 300m² and is suitable for a family or friends holidaying together.
Villa Palm is available as a whole or as three private suites and is perfect for a group of two or three couples. Two of the suites face the sea while the third faces the garden. The largest of the suites is 85m² with a 25m² private terrace and its own open-air bathtub, sofa and sun chairs. In addition the villa has a fantastic patio and living room and a truly amazing third floor roof-top terrace – perfect for late afternoon drinks. The villa is richly decorated and enjoys a contrast between the light airy living space and the earthy tones of the dining area which seats eight. It is situated near the pool.
The fourth villa, Villa Jewel, houses the restaurant (inside and al fresco), the shisha lounge and the main reception. It is well situated near the pool and just a few paces from the sea.
The service is of a high standard and is unobtrusive so that you can feel really at home. The staff go out of their way for you. You get the benefit of your own private space with the service you’d expect from a top class hotel. The French chef prides himself on offering French haute cuisine, a unique experience in Zanzibar.
Kikadini Villa sits on a wide stretch of beach looking out to the vast turquoise expanse of the Indian Ocean beyond. At low tide the coral reefs are exposed and you can walk for miles along the beach. The waters are very inviting and you can enjoy swimming and snorkelling from the resort. The friendly village of Jambiani is close by and is well worth exploring.
