There are 14 one bedroom villas and 15 two bedroom villas, as well as one Presidential two bedrooms suite. All the accommodation villas are designed to characterize classic Arabian and Omani architecture featuring dramatic arches, cement baraza benches and intricate hand carved cement decorations. The spacious villas feature luxury interiors, beautiful fabrics, hand carved furniture and brass lanterns, large bathrooms with luxury fittings as well as a spacious terrace and private plunge pool.

All rooms offer: air conditioning, complementary Wi-Fi, en-suite internet lounge area, mini bar, outside shower, private pool or Jacuzzi, pure cotton linen, safe, tea/coffee, television and a veranda.

Baraza Resort offers guests a range of facilities from a gym, enjoy a drink at the bar or a dip in the pool There are barbeque facilities as well as a library with an excellent secletion of books on the history of Zanzibar as well as other interesting reads. For the children there is a 'Kiddies Club' with activities to keep them entertained and of course delicious meals are served in the restaurant.

There are also many interactive activities from 'under the Palm tree' classes where you can learn Swahili or interesting history of Zanzibar or learn how to do Palm (leaves) weaving on the beach or part-take in some cooking classes where the chefs will teach you how to use the tantalising spices in traditional Swahili dishes.

Of course there is also the only PADI 5* dive centre where you can learn to scuba dive and off the coastline there is a coral reef that offers some excellent opportunities.

Other water activities include jet skis, kayaking, kite surfing, para sailing, or water skiing and you can also just enjoy a dip in the warm Indian Ocean. The resort offers a tennis court as well.

Besides all the great activities on offer at the resort, the little spice island of Zanzibar is an interesting island to explore - from tours through Stone Town or take a boat trip to Prison Island and you cannot miss one of their famous spice tours. You can go swimming with dolphins or hire a motor-ped and explore the island in your own time. There is enough to do to keep everyone entertained and when all else fails just take a nice long relaxing beach walk.
