Something of a luxury eco resort, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, feels like a natural extension of the bay's beauty. Villas made from natural woods, adorned with soft creams, have decks over the sea, while the cuisine is outstanding and the location picture perfect. Follow sandy paths through the jungle and lose yourself in the beauty of this resort.
You will be whisked off the speedboat by your very own butler who will lead you to your private villa, which may be on the hill with views across treetops or built into the rocks with steps down to the sea. Wherever you end up, you will have a private pool and your own little piece of Paradise.
There are various private villas to choose from. The Beachfront Pool Villas (available with 1 or 2 bedrooms) are over two floors with a living area upstairs and a big airy bedroom downstairs. They have a pool to the front and a path leading down to the beach beyond. The Hilltop Villas don't need a sitting room above the bedroom because they have a completely separate wooden pavilion that opens onto a huge deck and pool. They come with a raised daybed in one corner and sliding doors to frame the exquisite views of the ocean. Some are set back from the water (slightly limiting the views) but most are up on the hill, with vistas stretching across treetops and out to sea.
The Water Villas and Rock Villas boast infinity pools in the rocks, scoring maximum wow factor points. From the Water Villas steps lead straight down to the sea. While wild rock formations shield the Rock Villas from the outside world giving nothing but views of the sea and the ridge. The pavilions, which hang above the water, have an ensuite shower room and can be made up as an extra bedroom at night.
Some of the hilltop villas and beachfront pool villas lack a sea view as they have a curtain of greenery for maximum privacy.
The enormous Presidential Suite is hidden away on the rocks at the far end of the resort. It has its own jetty, the pool is surrounded by wild boulders, there's a shaded dining room that hangs over the water and the butler, on call 24-hours a day, has his own quarters.
On wooden stilts with incredible views over the sea you will find a bar, a restaurant and a library. But the villas are hard to beat and guests often stay by their pool, taking advantage of the room service, which brings whatever you need.
Dining by the Bay offers informal dining with expansive views over the twinkling resort by night. The menu includes Vietnam's finest such as banh xeo (stuffed savoury pancakes) and seafood hotpot. Dining by the Pool is ideal for a light lunch such as papaya and seafood salad. Dining by the Rocks is the resort's special-occasion eatery, high on the cliffs and only available by reservation. You can also dine à deux in the romantic Wine Cave.
