"This was the perfect end to our holiday as we relaxed and did not really leave the hotel. The resort is lovely and has a great boutique feel. The kite school attached to the hotel is great and they set-up all of Walter's equipment every day so he was quite spoilt! The food at the restaurant is excellent." - Liana M, Jan 2017

Those who are after something with a little bit more character than the average beachside resort will not be disappointed with the Sailing Club (formerly known as the Mia Resort Mui Ne). Set in stunning landscaped gardens with relaxed but attentive service, it feels like a hidden oasis.

It has a beautiful swimming pool, bar and restaurant beside the beach. Sandals Restaurant is one of the best in Mui Ne - people come here from resorts up and down the beach to sample the delicious Vietnamese cooking and the dishes of Asian fusion delight

There are only 30 rooms and bungalows within the boutique resort, and these are spread out amongst the dense tropical plants to give you a feeling of privacy and exclusion from other guests, and to help you unwind from the stresses and strains of daily living.

The buildings in the Sailing Club Resort were designed with a combination of traditional Vietnamese style and contemporary western living in mind, all created to harmonise with the local environment; with thatched rooftops and sand coloured walls that blend in with the lush landscape.

The resort has four different types of accommodation on offer. There are seven Sapa House Rooms are in one block surrounded by tropical gardens, set on two levels and have shared verandahs (each one is separated by some bamboo but not totally private). The Superior Garden View Rooms are larger with verandahs overlooking the gardens and have a large spacious bedroom, with a writing desk and veranda. The setting is completed with a unique, open air bathroom, full size marble bathtub and double handmade brass vanity basins. A secluded and uniquely designed garden shower allows you both privacy and the opportunity to view the stars and night sky. The Deluxe Garden View Rooms are a fraction larger while the Deluxe Beachfront Bungalows are identical but are situated along the beach with ocean views.

In addition to these four room types the hotel has a three-bedroom family villa with two double bedrooms (one with an en-suite) and a twin bedroom as well as a kitchenette and spacious living areas. All bedrooms lead onto a large open balcony overlooking the lush tropical gardens surrounding the house. The master bedroom has a sizable dressing room, space for a baby cot and a large en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower. The roomy open-concept living area is great for entertaining and family time. It includes a kitchenette, bar, expansive dining room, separate lounge area and children’s TV room.

The Sailing Club has its own kitesurfing school and guests can sign up to lessons (at an extra cost). The resort also offers spa services - the perfect way to relax after a hard day of sightseeing!

The hotel is in the centre of Mui Ne with a good selection of nearby restaurants - although the area is much sleepier than other beach towns in Vietnam. It takes about five hours to get to and from Ho Chi Minh City.
