Heritage Line’s latest vessel Ginger has changed the face of off the beaten track cruising in the Halong Bay area. Until recently the only boats that took a different route through the lesser visited Lan Ha Bay did not offer anything in the realm of luxury - but now you really can have it all!

Ginger hosts only 12 large suites, all naturally light-flooded and with well-sized balcony. The Regent Suites are the highest room category. Additional four Signature Suites and six Junior Suites. Ginger expresses her elegance with warm timber floors, marble bathrooms and distinguished design themes that interlace the long-lasting traditions of Northern Vietnam paired with contemporary accents. All suites include Individually controlled air conditioning, mini bar, balcony with sun chairs and table, Wi-Fi, sofa lounge and bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub.

The Junior Suites are 37 m2 (including a 5 sqm private balcony) and are located on the main deck. The Signature Suites have a similar layout but are located on the upper deck. The Regent Suites are 50 m2 including private balcony and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi that offers great vistas of Lan Ha Bay.

Ginger’s uniqueness is expressed with a special culinary theme as well as a refreshing lifestyle atmosphere. The terrace deck is a marvelous public area. An almost 360-degree light-flooded restaurant offering live cooking is framed by an outdoor alfresco area. An indoor bar corner invites to relax before or after dinner. Breakfasts can either be taken in the restaurant, at the alfresco area on the sun deck or even served in the privacy of your room.

The most exclusive facility is Ginger’s pool on the terrace deck. Surrounded by comfortable shaded sunbeds, the views from the pool are spectacular. So are the views from the spa rooms in the stern of the ship – one VIP spa room comes with steam bath. Combine relaxing spa treatments with dramatic outlooks through floor to ceiling glass windows on the bay.

Ginger offers an array of enticing activities such as cycling around the jungle-like Cat Ba Island, learn more about local cuisine and customs by joining a cooking class to find out how to strip down a fresh squid that you just caught, tai chi lessons, kayaking or swimming!

Our tip: Don’t miss it.
