Nestled down a track above the small village of Bayir is the charming Wolf’s Trail Cottage. This wonderful 2 bedroom villa was built using traditional techniques with local stone and wood, this is an authentic Turkish home, a gorgeous retreat for couples or a small family.

Built on one level with thick stone walls, meaning that despite having air-conditioning, the cottage stays lovely and cool even in the height of summer. There are 2 comfortable bedrooms, a shared bathroom and an open-plan, lounge, kitchen and dining area with wooden framed picture windows allowing you to enjoy the magnificent views.

Naturally, where most of the time is spent, is relaxing outside on the terrace around the beautiful infinity pool. The mature gardens are bursting with flowers and there are plenty of herbs and vegetable growing, just waiting to be picked for a delicious meal al fresco. There is also an inviting freshwater jacuzzi, the perfect spot for a sundowner whilst taking in the far-reaching views over the valley, lush forests and sea in the distance.

Wolf’s Trail Cottage is owned by the charismatic Ayhan, who, incidentally, is a qualified guide and horseman who is more than happy to show off this region on foot, on horseback or take you further afield to visit some of the many fascinating historical sites and beauty spots Turkey has to offer.

We include a car at Wolf’s Trail Cottage due to its mountain location, but its particularly handy to have to explore the many nearby beaches, villages and harbours that are within easy reach.
