Badem Tatil is small boutique hotel, ideal for couples, and nestled in lush gardens on a hillside with magnificent views over Selimiye’s pretty bay.

With only 14 rooms, this gem of a property is expertly run by the friendly husband and wife team who are eager to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The rooms are decorated in soft, neutral colours with wooden floors and colourful Turkish throws to add a splash of colour. All of the rooms are lovely, but we do think it is worth booking a higher room category to guarantee a balcony and gorgeous view.

The outdoor restaurant serves a delicious menu of Turkish fare, much of the food is grown either in the gardens or is locally sourced, not only is the food fantastic, but the views over Selimiye and out to sea are unforgettable.

There is a large infinity pool at the hotel, and for beach lovers, the hotel has its own small private beach which is accessed by the complimentary water taxi. Its a fabulous little spot for sunbathing and swimming in the clear Aegean waters, there are also canoes, sun loungers and umbrellas at the beach.

If you decide to dine out, Selimiye town is just a 5 minute stroll downhill and has a great selection of bars, cafes and waterfront restaurants, offering wide menus of freshly made mezes, grilled meats, and unsurprisingly, wonderful seafood.
