Originally a monastery, there are 51 guestrooms split amongst 5 mansions which are interconnected by underground tunnels. Formed from unearthed caves that have been thoughtfully restored and transformed into one-of-a-kind luxurious lodgings.

Its somehow both rustic and luxurious to stay here, and the balance of traditional Turkish artifacts and modern furnishings is very pleasing.

Rooms are all different, and all have a cosy feel but are spacious, and we particularly recommend the suites. Many of these have fireplaces, some have private pools inside the room. There is also a three-bedroom rustic mansion with the very best views.

They take dining seriously here and serve both local and international dining options inside at Seki Restaurant or outside on the terrace. There is also an underground cellar you can visit and taste wines from.

We particularly recommend this hotel for couples, although children are welcome and many rooms are family friendly. It's an ideal spot to be based to explore the many shops and restaurants in Uçhisar, take a stunning hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia, and visit the Goreme Open-Air Museum.
