The Mogao Grottoes, a system of over 500 temples etched with ancient Buddhist art and recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, are a 30-minute drive away. The hotel is a short distance from Dunhuang city centre, and a shuttle bus can take you the short journey to the popular Shazhou night market.
