Newly opened in 2017, the ShellSea offers handsome rooms and villas beside Fossil Shell Beach. With direct access to the golden sands and views of the Andaman Sea, the resort offers options ideal for couples and families.
Garden rooms are ideal for two with a king or two twin beds as well as a lounge area. Similar in size, Ocean rooms offer Andaman Sea views and spacious balconies. Seaview Pool Access rooms are located on the ground level with direct access to one of the resort's two swimming pools.
Garden and Seaview Pool Villas include a bedroom, living area with sofa bed, kitchenette, a private plunge pool and sunbathing terrace, an outdoor bathtub, and an oversize bathroom. Both have private gardens and Seaview Pool Villas offer 180-degree views of the Andaman Sea. One Grand Pool Villa has two en-suite bedrooms, each with a king bed, a lounge and dining area, kitchenette, private swimming pool, secluded garden with an outdoor tub, and panoramic sea views.
There is an adults-only lap pool and a family pool open to all guests. Kayaks and other non-motorized water sports are available and bicycles ideal for exploring the vicinity. Daily activities during the peak months include yoga, beach volleyball, Thai boxing, and child-friendly activities such as Batik painting, sand castle making, and origami. Otium Spa offers a variety of massages, scrubs, facials, and other treatments with ocean views.
Cerulean Restaurant serves a variety of international and Thai dishes throughout the day. Open-air Azure Bar has a menu of snacks, drinks, and plenty of sofas and lounge chairs for relaxing. Fin Bar dishes up casual western fare during the day and in the evening focuses on fresh seafood and Italian cuisine.
The ShellSea is approximately 30-minutes drive from Krabi Airport and two and one-half hour's drive from Phuket Airport. The picturesque Ao Nang Beach is a 10-minute shuttle ride from the hotel. The town of Krabi with its variety of restaurants and shops is about a 20-minute drive from the hotel. A limited number of restaurants are within bicycling distance of the ShellSea.
