The Grand Deluxe Rooms are located on the 10th floor and above, offering panoramic views with V-shaped windows and the Balcony Rooms have open-air furnished balconies overlooking the river.

The Deluxe Suites and Grand Deluxe Suites are furnished with rich silk fabrics and Asian artwork, featuring a living room with sofas and a four-person dining table as well as an oversized executive desk.

One of the most requested suites is the elegant Thai Suite which has sound and television systems hidden in slatted wooden cabinets and comes with its very own telescope.

Other suites include the Terrace Suite and Grand Terrace Suite, which both feature a living and dining room, master room and guest bedroom, private study and a large landscaped terrace with an outdoor Jacuzzi.

The Duplex Suite has all of this spread over two levels with two outdoor terraces, while the Peninsula Suite takes up the 34th floor with a helicopter pad and private fully-equipped fitness gym.

The Facilities
The Peninsula has a fine selection of restaurants and bars to choose from. The Mei Jiang offers authentic Cantonese cooking in a stylish dining room while the riverside Thai restaurant Thiptara offers alfresco candlelit dinners. The Lobby bar serves afternoon tea and light bites and the River Cafe and Terrace serves an international a la carte menu and buffet. Guests can enjoy a cocktail or two at the River Bar or sample the old world-style bar inside, or the pool bar.

The hotel has a large three tiered swimming pool that is lined with palm trees as well as two tennis courts and an extensive fitness centre including personal trainers. There is also a spa on site for those who are after something a little bit more relaxing.

Peninsula guests also have access to one of the country's most exclusive golf clubs, the Thai Country Club.
