The FloatHouse River Kwai Resort is a fancy boutique hideaway. The only way to reach the resort is by boat as it actually floats on a flowing river surrounded by thick green jungle.
The Rooms
The 26 elegant floating villas (90 sqm) are tastefully decorated in Thai folk style design with teakwood furniture. Each villa features a private balcony and pier where you can relax surrounded by a beautiful ambience. The villas come as King or Twin bed rooms and the beds with the comfy thick mattresses and jumbo pillows guarantee a good night's sleep.
The rooms are equipped with TV, DVD players, complimentary Wifi access, private sun deck with sun beds, rain shower, individually controlled air conditioning and coffee and tea making facilities.
The Facilities
The restaurant Pontoon is, of course, floating as well and serves Thai and international food, both a la carte and buffet style.
The lively and relaxing bar for guests offers a wide range of beverages including a world class selection of red and white wines, sparkling cocktails, chilled beers and soft drinks.
Several activities can be arranged on site, for example long-tailed boat trips, canoe trips and bamboo rafting.
