Stracta hotel has fulfilled its aim to offer the perfect location close to all the natural wonders and tourist attractions found in south Iceland

Stracta Hotel is conveniently located on the outskirts of Hella, between the Golden Circle and many of the dramatic landscapes and natural features the South Coast is known for. Stracta is reported to have some of the best views in Iceland, as on a clear day, you can see Hekla and Eyjafjallafjökull volcanoes, their glaciers to the east, the Westman Islands to the south and and the mountains of the Reykjanes peninsula to the west.

The bistro restaurant is located on the ground-floor and features an a la carte menu serving a fusion of Icelandic and International cuisine and a buffet is served in the restaurant on the second floor with beautiful views overlooking the Eyjafjallajökull and Hekla volcanoes.

Rooms range from Standard and Superior to Studio rooms with a kitchenette, two bedroom apartments with cooking facilities and a private hot tub and deluxe suites with private hot tubs.

Just a few of the excursions nearby include horse riding, kayaking, swimming, hiking, golf, helicopter tours and cave exploring.

There is a sauna and hot tub in the gardens, a gym and a souvenir shop which offers a range of Icelandic (crafted) items including wool products made locally.
