Perfectly located in the vibrant surroundings of Chinatown, Shanghai Mansion is one of our favourite boutique hotels in town. It’s bright, bold, distinctly Chinese, and great fun!

The decor at Shanghai Mansion is opulent, featuring silk upholstery, ornamental blossom trees, antique Chinese four-poster beds, birdcages in the bathrooms, and red and lilac walls. It's both romantic and wonderfully kitsch! As one of the first nine-story buildings in Chinatown, it holds historical significance as an architectural landmark.

The Rooms
All 51 Superior Rooms, 9 Deluxe Rooms, and 16 Suites are fully air-conditioned and equipped with satellite TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, a fridge, mini-bar, tea-making facilities, an electronic safe, hairdryer, IDD telephone, and an en-suite bathroom with a rain shower.

The Facilities
In addition to a tea room, library, and internet corner, Shanghai Mansion is well-located for your needs. The Yin Yang Massage Spa on the lower floor offers authentic traditional Chinese massage and relaxing spa treatments.

The reception desk provides currency exchange and laundry services.

The hotel features three restaurants: The Cotton Restaurant serves a mix of buffet and à la carte breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM and is also open for lunch. The Red Rose is a contemporary Chinese restaurant and jazz lounge, open for dinner. The Shanghai Terrace bar at the entrance offers drinks and snacks throughout the day.

The Surroundings
A supermarket is on the ground floor for additional provisions, and numerous dining options are right outside, ranging from local street vendors to upscale restaurants with lavish interiors. A highly recommended dim sum restaurant is opposite the hotel, and you'll also find some controversial delicacies, such as shark's fin and bird's nest soup. A short cab ride will take you to the newer parts of the city, where dining options abound.

Chinatown is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and Shanghai Mansion is situated on a vibrant street known for its gold shops. At night, the area transforms into a bustling food haven, with numerous stalls serving delicious traditional dishes, desserts, and snacks—definitely a must-try!

Nearby is Thieves Market, where tourists hunt for antiques and bargains amidst its intriguing past.

The hotel is conveniently located on the main road of Bangkok's Chinatown and offers a complimentary shuttle service to the Grand Palace, a shopping center, and the MRT subway station. The Hua Lamphong MRT station connects to the BTS sky train network, providing easy access to tourist attractions and shopping destinations.

The Royal Palace and Wat Pho are just 10 minutes away by car.
