Set in 38 acres of parklands and woodlands, Jetwing Yala almost feels like an extension of the nearby national park. Recently opened in 2013, the hotel is designed to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings. It is the perfect retreat to return to after a day on safari in search of wild elephants, sloth bear, mugger crocodiles and the elusive leopard (if you're lucky!).

The resort has 80 well-appointed Standard and Deluxe Rooms, which open out to a private terrace or balcony - as well as 18 tents for those seeking a more rustic experience. There is also a spacious Family Suite with sitting and dining facilities. All rooms are equipped with a/c, overhead fans, IDD telephone, mini-bar, tea/coffee facility, satellite TV, wifi internet, electronic safe, bathrobe and slippers, and ensuite bathrooms with h/w showers. Baby cots and DVD players are available upon request. 10 Deluxe rooms have wheelchair access.

The main dining room offers a selection of Sri Lankan and Asian inspired cuisine but you can also enjoy alfresco or in-room dining. The pool bar and the Living Room bar serve a range of alcoholic beverages.

Yala National Park has one of the highest leopard concentrations in the world, but is also home to elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles and peacocks as well as a rich tapestry of flora and fauna.

Jetwing Yala is located just outside the Yala National Park. The hotel is about 240 km from Colombo, which is a 4 hour drive and 260 km from the Bandaranaike International Airport which is a 4 and a half hour drive. The property is also 50 km from the Mattala International Airport, which is a 45 minute drive and 30 minutes from Tissamaharama. The hotel is set in 38 acres.
