Inspired by "The Owl and The Pussycat", a poem by Edward Lear, the Owl and the Pussycat hotel seeks to capture the poem's fun and romantic spirit at its seaside, luxury hotel.

The Owl and the Pussycat hotel has 16 accommodation units. There are three types of suites available, all of which are designed to provide space and luxury. Each suite comes complete with a terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, ensuite bathroom and a handcrafted double bed. The Premium suites are 60m² and each has two ocean view terraces. The Luxury suites are 80m² and each also has two ocean view terraces. The OTP suites are 100m² with terraces that directly over look the ocean. There are also three varieties of rooms available. All rooms come with an ensuite bathroom and a double bed. The Large Sea View rooms are 42m² and each has a large terrace overlooking the ocean. The Sea View rooms are 25m² and come with a balcony with sea views. The Garden View rooms are 34m², each has an outdoor area with garden views and is a few steps from the sea. A Garden View room can also be connected to an OTP suite for those who need two bedrooms.

Guests can relax with a seaside massage at the hotel spa, start their morning with a yoga class at sunrise or go for a swim in the 17m pool. Guests are in for a mouth watering treat at The Runcible Spoon, the hotel's restaurant. Here, talented chefs create beautiful Sri Lankan dishes with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Guests can also avail of a variety of wine, thoughtfully chosen from seven countries around the globe. Visit the Beach Shack, which comes alive with live jazz at weekends, for delicious cocktails by the sea

The hotel is located in the small village of Talpe. Talpe is known for its unspoilt beaches, the closet of which is a 100m walk from the hotel. Talpe is a half an hour drive from the city of Galle. Galle is a city whose Dutch-colonial style building combine with the surrounding tropical landscape to create a stunning sight and atmosphere. At the heart of Galle lies the historic Fort area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can find boutique shops and cafes.

Bandaranaike International Airport is a 2hr and 15 minutes drive from Talpe.
