Nestled on a picturesque tea plantation, on the Knuckles Mountain Range 1000 meters above sea level, Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge will treat travelers to magnificent views, top class facilities, friendly and courteous service and plenty of things to see and do.

The Eco Lodge offers a retreat away from the city. It is just a 15-minute walk to Campbell Waterfalls and a 40-minute drive to Knuckles Mountain Range, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The property is 30 km to Kandy Town and 140 km to Colombo City.

Madukelle offers two different kinds of accommodation: The Honeymoon Suite and the Deluxe Lodges. All lodges are made of high quality tarpaulin canvas and they all feature: a front porch with ‘out-of-this-world’ views, very comfortable beds and a full bathroom with walk-in shower and a separate private WC.

The Honeymoon Suite is a stunning space, among the lush green tea field with the magnificent view of Knuckles Mountain range. It includes a terrace with divan and private dining facility, King sized bed, Shower and Bathtub and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The Eco Lodge has in the centre a real colonial style “planter’s” estate house with the Reception, a library with Internet Access and a Business Center, an English styled estate Lounge Bar with an impressive stock of beverages and a Grand Dining Room and Restaurant with a cozy fireplace.

Other outdoor facilities worth a mention are the stunning stand alone Infinity Pool offering fabulous views, comfortable seating Areas placed within the tea estate, ideal for some quiet time alone with nature, an Organic Vegetable and Herb Garden used in our daily meals and drivers’ and guides’ live-in quarters with Onsite Parking.

Mandukelle also organizes an array of leisure activities such as Excursion around the area, Trekking and Trekking, Tours and Activities from adventure to social, a Spa with very well trained therapists and amazing Yoga classes.

Our tip: Ask for a tent closer to the main lodge if walking is a problem.
