This three-bedroom villa is slightly elevated in jungle-like gardens about five minutes from the beach. Ideal for those seeking a bit of a hideaway, Kumara (which means 'young prince') feels blissfully isolated and serene.

The villa itself is made up of three main pavilions. The two king-sized bedroom pavilions are set in their own walled gardens with indoor and outdoor bathing facilities and large private terraces. Both have safety box, tea making facilities and refrigerated bottled water. Meanwhile, the third pavilion is the main living pavilion with bi-fold doors and windows opening onto the landscaped gardens and large decked pool area.

The large swimming pool, set in tropical gardens, is perfect for watching local wildlife in the early mornings and afternoons. The house staff includes a cook who is able to prepare delicious local cuisine. Breakfast is included and you can pay for lunch and dinner services at the villa.

Kumara Villa is idyllically located between beautiful Weligama Bay and Mirissa Beach in the southwest of Sri Lanka. The surf break at Weligama is approximately five minutes away by tuk tuk and is amongst the best for all standards of surfers; lessons are available. It makes an ideal Sri Lankan base as plenty of other areas of interest can be easily reached in day trips, including the Unesco-heritage listed town of Galle, which is just 30km away, and whale watching at Mirissa Beach.
