The Naladhu Resort is ideal for those seeking a luxurious and secluded island hideaway. Set on the tropical island of Velighandu Huraa, the resort boasts 19 private houses that offer both timeless design and perfect views.

There are two different types of houses; the Beach Houses which offer easy access to the white sandy beach on the lagoon side of the island and the Ocean Houses that face the rolling Indian Ocean, with a hardwood deck protruding out over the waves.

The tastefully decorated houses have large and spacious bedrooms featuring a plush feather mattress on an oversized king bed, a dressing room and an open-air bath tub sprinkled with flower petals. They have their own steam room and garden rain shower, a private plunge pool with gardens and hardwood deck and a dining area. The houses have wi-fi throughout, a Bose home theatre system and LCD satellite TV as well as an iPod and surround-sound stereo system. Each villa has its very own house master who will be your butler, concierge, guide and personal assistant throughout your stay.

The resort has a vast array of dining options - almost anything can be arranged, from dinner on a desert island to lunch on a private yacht, sailing across the emerald-blue lagoon. The resort's restaurant, the Living Room, with alfresco dining and an elegant interior, caters for a variety of tastes with Thai, Indian, Maldivian and Western dishes. These can be also be delivered to your chalet where you can dine in privacy on your terrace at almost any time - or enjoy a barbecue on your deck, complete with your own private chef and waiter. Naladhu guests also have the choice of visiting a total of eight other dining venues located on their two sister islands; Anantara Dhigu and Veli. There is also a variety of settings for sundown cocktails, from a leisurely wine tasting at the Living Room, to the stylish scene of Anantara Dhigu's Aqua, or the more casual Dhoni Bar at Dhigu.

Naladhu has its very own yacht, which can be chartered for private sunset viewing, private dinner bookings, full-day charters, overnight charters, airport transfers, sunset cruises, bio-adventures, hourly excursions and more.

There is a large swimming pool on site as well as a fitness centre with personal training sessions available. Guests can also enjoy a game of tennis on the resort's course or take yoga or pilates classes. For those looking for something a little bit more relaxing, there is also a spa on site with professionals trained in Ayurvedic, Thai, Balinese, Western and other holistic healing traditions. Treatments can be enjoyed almost anywhere on the resort.

There are plenty of other activities on offer; Naladhu has its own PADI Dive Centre offering snorkelling and a range of scuba courses. Deep-sea fishing, sailing, kayaking and other watersports are also available, as well as cookery and tasting courses. Guests can also take a shopping excursion to the bustling city of Male. In the evening attend a storytelling session on the island's coconut grove with Ahmed Didi, the Island Chief.
