Getting around Spain

Andalucia:

Train: The trains in Andalucia are in excellent condition, modern with air conditioning and reasonably priced. The network isn’t that extensive though so while you can reach the larger cities via train, like Seville, Cordoba, Cadiz, Granada, Malaga…. You’ll find you might be missing out a lot of the magic that happens in the smaller towns and villages. Combining train travel with a hire car, or transfers that we can arrange is a great option though.

Car hire: hiring a car in Andalucia is very easy to do, inexpensive and we would recommend this option as it enables you to explore many areas that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to.

A recent influx of EU funding has meant that many roads have been resurfaced and generally speaking, the roads here are in excellent condition.

There are many hire car companies operating in Andalucia and you’ll be able to pick up a car at the airport, in the cities or at some train stations too. This means that you can easily choose whether you want a car for your whole trip, or for one part.

We can arrange your car hire for you, just let us know!

Cycling: Andalucia is a fabulous place to cycle, with many areas seeing very little traffic, newly resurfaced roads and gentle hilly climbs and descents. You can choose to bring your own bike here, or we can arrange a hired bike for you. If you want to take a tour across the region, we can arrange for your luggage to move between your stopovers and the return of your hired bike at the end of the trip. Alternatively, if you want to stay in one place and hire a bike to explore the surrounding area, we can arrange that for you too!

Private Transfers: We can arrange any airport transfers for you, using trusted partner transfer companies. We can also arrange for other transfers throughout the region, if this is your preferred way of travelling.

Seville is a vibrant, architecturally beautiful city that is full of life and wildly romantic.
Malaga is a great place to start in Andalusia, with a well-connected airport, gorgeous beaches, rich in history and culture and just a stone throw from jaw-dropping hiking.
A green and luscious area of mountain peaks, piercing blue lakes, and picturesque traditional villages.
Fabulous hiking and cycling in this little known area of Andalusia. Perfect for those who are looking for off-the-beaten-track.
