There are also electric blankets in winter so you can be sure to sleep warm at night. The tents are en suite with a bath and outdoor shower. Your viewing deck overlooks the reserve and is the ideal place to relax with a book after your morning game drive. The tented rooms also have a hospitality tray, complimentary sherry, safety deposit box and hairdryer.

Two of the tents are adjacent to the lodge and equipped with an access ramp instead of stairs, catering for wheelchair-bound guests and those with mobility challenges.

The main lodge commands a lovely view over the reserve and has a spacious lounge and dining room area with outdoor sitting on the veranda. There is also an outdoor boma and dining is either by the boma or in the dining room depending on the weather. Experience friendly staff and tasty meals in a tranquil surrounding.

Springbok Lodge is nestled in the Nambiti Private Reserve - a 20 000 hectare conservancy of pristine, malaria free bushveld. The reserve is home to the big five (lion, rhino, leopard, elephant and buffalo) as well as a variety of antelope species, giraffe, zebra, many smaller predators like jackal as well as cheetah and an abundance of birdlife. The reserve offers a biodiversity from the beautiful Acacia trees to grasslands and with the Sundays river traversing there are some beautiful spots along the river.

Your stay includes all meals and 2 daily game drives on the reserve with experienced rangers. Being on the doorstep of the Drakensberg Mountains you can do a day trip here or take a step back in history and visit some of the famous Battlefield sites that are nearby (additionally charged).

Next to the reserve is a cheetah rehabilitation centre allowing the opportunity to experience close encounters with cheetah as well as serval and the African wild cat - these are seldom seen in the wild due to their shyness. This is charged extra.

Springbok Lodge is family friendly and offers an affordable game experience for both couples and families. Ideally located off the main route between Durban and Johannesburg makes the location to combine with a few nights in the Drakensberg Mountains or visiting the Battlefields.
