Oude Werf is established in 1802, this is one of South Africa's oldest inns and has been beautifully restored with a touch of 'old world' charm.
There is a total of 31 en suite bedrooms all individually decorated, with antiques and fitted with modern facilities for comfort. All rooms have satellite television, telephones, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and air-conditioning.
There are 14 superior rooms furnished in Georgian, Victorian or Cape Style. These are the largest rooms and all have separate bath/showers. Some also have walk-in dressing rooms.
The 7 luxury rooms are also very spacious and decorated in Georgian or Victorian style. The 10 classic rooms are the smallest of the rooms, yet still comfortable without feeling "pokie". Both luxury and classic rooms offer a shower/bath combination.
Oude Werf offers a private courtyard with a heated swimming pool to relax by. On colder nights guests can relax by the fire and enjoy a glass of local wine. The "1802 Restaurant" offers a variety of local and international cuisine, or you can sit outside under the vine covered coffee garden enjoying some of Stellenbosch's best cheese-cake!
