We loved this little jewel. Richard, the owner, is the most delightful host and Frances and the staff were excellent; homely and comfortable; wonderful wine from Richard's own vineyard, generously provided; excellent value for money; great local Great local knowledge and advice and a good centre for exploring the area

There are 5 garden rooms overlooking the vineyards, tastefully decorated to depict 'old world' charm. All rooms have a fire-place and verandah with the mountains as a backdrop.
All rooms are equipped with television, heated towel rails, hair-dryers, coffee/tea facilities and a complimentary carafe of 'home produced' wine.
Breakfasts are served in the main farm house and offers a selection of continental and English.
The splash pool is set in lovely gardens with old oak and milkwood trees. Alternatively the lounge set in the main house - a Victorian 1900 Karoo style farm house - offers a cool place to unwind with a book.
Montagu Vines is located only a short stroll from the main part of the town with shops, restaurants, bistros and historic churches.
Vines B&B boasts a 1.1 hectare olive grove which replaces their vineyards that was washed away in the 2009 floods.
This is a good base from where to explore the greater Montagu area. The Route 62 offers a scenic detour to the Garden Route or Oudtshoorn.
Montagu Vines welcomes couples and families with children over 12 years.
