We would like to make a special mention of Lalibela Game Reserve, and in particular our young Game Ranger Trevor. We had the most memorable Christmas Day; up at the crack of dawn to view zebra, giraffe, lions, cheetahs and elephants - then back to the lodge for a scrumptious brunch. The afternoon drive was marred a little by the weather - but the thoughtful staff had popped into our lodges and put our electric blankets on to warm us up on our return!! And you cannot imagine the quality of the Christmas Dinner we were served that evening. Have you ever tried warthog kebabs? If not - we could thoroughly recommend them!! The catering at Lentaba Lodge was out of this world; especially the homemade bread and Trevor was a ranger of extremely high quality. His knowledge and enthusiasm were an inspiration and his ability to share this with his guests made our stay there something we will remember with great pleasure.

There are 10 secluded thatched, en suite chalets with air conditioning and private wooden decks overlooking the game reserve. All the rooms are joined by stone walk ways.
The main lodge is safari style, with a large lounge to relax in the day, extending to an outside viewing deck. Soak up the sun by the swimming pool during the heat of the day.
An outdoor dining area (boma) overlooks a waterhole. On cooler evenings dinners are served in an inside dining area.
Lentaba Lodge is ideal for couples and families with children over the age of 12 years old.

Your stay here includes all meals and 2 x daily game drives with qualified rangers. The Lalibela Game Reserve is a 7500 hectare reserve and home to the big five as well as a variety of other wildlife, including giraffe, hippo and antelope. Game drives are conducted in open land rovers and experienced rangers will share their knowledge of the bush with you.
