There are 6 spacious suites with en suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor shower, a separate WC and twin vanity basins. The suites have large private verandas with plunge pools to cool off in the afternoon.

The main lodge area has a spacious sitting room with fireplace for cooler evenings as well as an indoor dining area and bar to enjoy an afternoon drink. There is a wooden veranda with view decks overlooking the reserve. Cool down in the main lodge swimming pool or relax in the study with a book.

Couples and families are welcome at Kwandwe Ecca Lodge.

Morning and evening game drives are conducted in open land rovers and an experienced guide who will share their knowledge of the bush with you. Enjoy guided game walks and bush picnics during your stay (weather permitting). The Kwandwe Private Reserve is home to the Big Five (black & white rhino, elephant, lion, buffalo and leopard) as well as a variety of predators and general game, including cheetah, kudu, springbok, eland, red hartebeest, giraffe, black wildebeest and gemsbok (Oryx).

Rhino Darting: You have the opportunity to participate in Kwandwes rhino darting programme under the supervision of the experts. Duration - 3 nights / 4 days (May - September)
Frontiers: Led by resident historian and raconteur, Alan Weyer, this safari is unique adventure to learn more about the rich historical culture and post of the Eastern Cape. Duration - 1 day
Carnivore Research: Guided by Charlene Bisset, learn more about the interesting carnivore programme and ongoing research at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Duration - 1 day
Bushman Roc Art Tour: Historian Alan Weyer will take you on a journey to discover the prolific bushman rock paintings, artefacts and relics in the Eastern Cape Valley. This tour does involve some hiking. Duration - 1 day
Flight of the Blue Crane: Fly in a fixed wing aircraft from Kwandwe for just over an hours flight over the Frontier Region, where you will see rural scences and stretching to the coast where you can see dolphins and whales if you lucky. The flight continues over the sand dunes back to Kwandwe.

Access to Kwandwe Ecca Lodge is easy with daily direct flights to Port Elizabeth from Cape Town, Durban or Johannesburg. The lodge is located and easy 2 hour drive from the airport.
