Prince Albert may be a 'sleepy town' but there is so much on offer - you can take a day to explore the Cango Caves and ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn and then take a breath-taking drive back via De Rust and Meeringspoort to Prince Albert. There are also some excellent wine farms in the area or stroll the streets of the town with its many art galleries and craft shops.

A must is the Swartberg Pass which is a daunting and beautiful pass that links up with Oudtshoorn and if the less faint hearted you can even hire a mountain bike to take on the pass! Dennehof and also help to organise a '3 passes tour' that also includes mountain biking some of the spectacular passes in the area. There are also sundowner trips that you can do.

Highly recommended is the Gamkaskloof 'Die Hel' (translated to The Hell) which takes you to visit a lost community and although it is only 50km away, this is a full day tour where you head down the valley from the top of Swartberg Pass in a 4x4 to the valley and enjoy a historical talk on this forgotten area, meet the people and then enjoy a local lunch before heading back in the afternoon.
