The tented camp only has 3 tents, taking a maximum of 6 guests at a time and is ideal for families or a group of friends travelling together. The tents are en suite and situated on a wooden deck which overhangs the bluff.

For lighting, the authentic, rustic experience is not compromised as only lanterns are used at night however you are still provided with the luxury of modern day hot showers, tasty meals and knowledgeable and experienced guides.

The Lapalala Wilderness area is rugged and scenic and home to a variety of game from the endangered black rhino and wild dog, leopard, buffalo and a wide variety of plains game and smaller predators like jackal. Steeped in history you can visit sites of unspoilt bushman paintings that are dotted along many of the cliff faces.

Best way to explore this reserve is on foot based from the camp which is strategically located high up on a ridge with breath-taking views across the reserve.

Activities on offer and included would be day and night drives, fishing which is available from mid September to mid April at which time you are likely to catch yellow fish or bass. Guided walks which can be as long or short as guests would like them to be and can be combined with a drive and/or picnic lunch at the river. During summer months swimming is also very popular in the rapids and cooler pools. Visiting the bush man painting sites and archaeological sites.

A stay at the bush camp is ideally combined with some nights at either Ants Nest or Ants Hill which is merely an hour away and can be done either at the beginning or the end of the stay and lends a great rustic African experience to any African safari trip. Transfers to and from the camp and the bush homes can be arranged on request

Your stay is fully inclusive of all meals, drinks and above mentioned activities. This is a super option for a family or friends wanting to get closer to nature and experience the pristine wilderness of Lapalala Wilderness Reserve. The Bush Camp just has a minimum stay of 2 nights and 4 people (min).
