Island-hopping and getting around in Seychelles is very simple. The most popular and easiest way to travel between Mahe, Praslin and La Digue is by ferry. The rest of the islands can be reached by chartered boat or by a private helicopter ride .

The main ferry company, Cat Cocos , run its catamarans on a daily basis between the main islands. The journey from Mahe to Praslin takes about an hour and it costs approx. £55/one way. The trip from Mahe to La Digue takes 1.5h, with a short stop in Praslin (a cost of approx. £70/one way). The Praslin to La Digue journey takes only 20 minutes for the fee of approx. £15/one way. Air Seychelles offers domestic flights between Mahe and Praslin, the journey takes approx. 20 minutes and prices start from around £65/one way.

Getting around the islands themselves is a hassle-free experience. On the main islands of Mahe and Praslin, you can rent a car, take a taxi or easily travel by local bus.

Cycling is the transport of choice when getting around La Digue as there are no places to hire a car, and just a few taxis available on this little island.
