Your journey begins in Jordan, home to a rich tapestry of ancient history and natural beauty. From the vibrant capital of Amman to the breathtaking Petra ruins, not to mention the serene desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, you’ll experience it all. Then, cross into Saudi Arabia to discover the enchanting city of Al Ula, where awe-inspiring rock formations and archaeological treasures reveal the grandeur of the Nabatean civilisation. This unique itinerary offers a blend of cultural immersion, historical exploration, and stunning landscapes, promising an unforgettable travel experience.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival to Queen Alia International Airport

Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport, where our representative will meet you. They will assist you through passport control and lead you to your driver, before heading to your first accommodation to relax after your flight.

Day 2 - Amman – Madaba – Nebo – Kerak – Petra

Get ready for an incredible journey!  Today is a busy but exciting day of sight seeing and exploring, getting used to the sounds and smells of beautiful Jordan.

Your first stop is the mosaic-filled city of Madaba, where you can visit the renowned Church of St. George.

Then, continue to Mount Nebo, an important historical and religious site.

Visit the crusader stronghold of Kerak Castle and take ample time to appreciate its architectural grandeur.

Finally, your day will end with an evening arrival to Petra.  Tomorrow, you’ll explore the ancient beauty of this mystical place.

Day 3 - Petra

Today, you’ll visit one of the beautiful and famous places in the world: PETRA.

Explore Petra’s pathways to discover rock-hewn churches, grand buildings, small dwellings, and ceremonial sites.

Then, make your way down the narrow Siq to the intricate yet massive façade of the Treasury: a sight to behold and one you’ll remember for years to come, guaranteed.

Take a walk around and discover the great scale of this ancient hub – it’s not just one or two buildings, it’s a sprawling city with so much to see!

Day 4 - Petra - Wadi Rum

Continue your passage through Jordan and travel into the incredible desert of Wadi Rum.

But don’t worry, there’s more than dunes! You’ll enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner and music in your camp this evening.  Today is all about embracing the authentic Wadi Rum desert experience.  Live the lifestyle of the nomadic Bedouin people, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

In the morning, you’ll set off from Petra and head to the Wadi Rum Visitor Centre, where you’ll hop into 4×4 vehicles for an exhilarating two-hour off-road drive through the desert. This is an unmissable opportunity to see the most spectacular and untouched parts of Wadi Rum.

Day 5 - Wadi Rum – Aqaba – Tabuk

Departing from Wadi Rum, your journey takes you further through the rugged and breathtaking Jordanian desert landscapes.

Your first stop is Aqaba, Jordan’s only coastal city, where you can catch a glimpse of the azure waters of the Red Sea.

From Aqaba, the journey continues towards the Jordanian-Saudi border.

On arrival at the border crossing between Jordan and Saudi Arabia you will complete the border crossing formalities. Make sure you have all the necessary travel documents!

Arrive in Tabuk, a city with a rich cultural heritage.  Explore Tabuk Castle, renowned for its historical significance and architectural beauty. Visit nearby mosques and soak up the cultural atmosphere.

Spend time in the museum and learn about Tabuk’s strategic importance as a pilgrimage site, then take a leisurely stroll through Souk Twaheen, Tabuk’s local market.

Today is about soaking up the vibrant local culture and perhaps buying some souvenirs.

Day 6 - Tabuk – Disi – Al Ula

Start your day with the historical wonders of Tabuk, where layers of time reveal the stories of ancient civilisations.

Departing from Tabuk, travel to Disi, a hidden gem in the desert. This leg of your journey offers a tranquil escape into the heart of the Saudi desert, where the golden sands and majestic landscapes create a surreal backdrop.

From Disi, your adventure takes you to the magical Al Ula. This ancient city, brimming with Nabatean heritage, is a testament to the region’s rich history and culture.

Here you’ll find yourself surrounded by awe-inspiring rock formations and archaeological sites that reflect the grandeur of the Nabataeans. Al Ula is not just a destination; it’s a journey through the annals of time, where every stone and carving tells the story of a civilisation that once flourished in these lands.

Day 7 - Al Ula

Embark on a day of exploration in Al Ula, starting with a visit to the charming Old Town, where narrow streets and ancient architecture offer a glimpse into the city’s history.

Take a stroll through the tranquil Oasis and enjoy the lush greenery, then explore the Al Ula Heritage Village to gain an insight into the traditional lifestyle of the region.

Savour local cuisine for lunch at a recommended restaurant before heading to Jabal Ikmah to view fascinating rock formations and ancient inscriptions.

Stroll along the Art Walk to see outdoor art installations and visit the Al Ula Cultural Centre.

Visit Jabal Ikmah, known for its historical significance, and the breathtaking Al Ula escarpment.

Finish the day with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, sampling dishes that showcase the flavours of the region.

However, the best is yet to come.  Delight in the brilliance of the night sky with stargazing in the tranquil desert, far from the lights of the city.

History, art and natural wonders are all found here, making for an unforgettable visit.

Day 8 - Fly to Amman – Jerash – Ajloun – Amman

After flying into Amman, you’ll visit Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Here you’ll walk between ancient ruins including the Oval Square, the Temple of Artemis and the impressive colonnaded streets of Jerash.

Next, travel to Ajloun to see the 12th century Ajloun Castle (Qal’at Ar-Rabad), built by Saladin’s forces. This historic fortress offers panoramic views over the Jordan Valley.

Your day ends by returning to Amman for the final evening.

Day 9 - Departure

Today you will head back to Amman Airport for your return journey back home.  We hope that you’re heading home (or to your next destination!) with some extraordinary memories of these two extraordinary countries.

  • 2 hours tour in Wadi Rum by the open Bedouin trucks (trucks are of different types, models and age). Each 6 Pax will be accommodated in 1 vehicle (1 pax in front seat + 5 pax in the backyard of the jeep)
