Each of the four rooms at Raha Lodge is decorated with a different colour theme, each is spacious and has its own en-suite bathroom with shower. The decor is chic and understated. There are plenty of places to sit and chill out with a good book or simply to admire the view – choose from the lovely communal living room with its comfy sofas, stunning terrace or first floor veranda.

There is a chef on hand to cook meals so you can choose from bed and breakfast to full board. You can eat in the restaurant, in the gardens or on the beach. You can even learn how to cook dishes with the chef! Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day.

Raha Lodgeadded a pool in 2013 and you have a lovely beach on your doorstep, you won’t feel deprived! The beach is just gorgeous – soft, white sand and very clear waters. At low tide, the sea recedes about 200m and you can walk out to the coral reef, where there are interesting pools and an amazing array of colours. Various water-based activities available, such as snorkelling, diving and kite-surfing. Mountains bikes are also available. Raha Lodge is one of several villas and small private resorts close to Jambiani village and it is worth spending time there to learn a little of local life. The people are friendly and some speak pretty good English.
