Hand painted murals adorn the hallways and walls of Canvas, narrating the stories of Palawan. Each floor is themed to a different layer: underworld, under the sea, the earth's surface, and the skies above. Light fixtures in the lobby evoke the stalactites of the Underground River and intricate Machuca tiles adorn the floors. The artistry and design of Canvas make it one of the most unique hotels in Palawan.

Every room has a hand painted mural. Superior, Deluxe, and Premier rooms have 3-point ensuite bathrooms with showers, toilets, and lavatories separated. Premier rooms are the most spacious and can accommodate up to four people. Deluxe rooms can be arranged to sleep three while Superior rooms are comfortable for two.

Painted Table serves Filipino and western comfort food inspired by local ingredients. A communal table encourages guests to interact and provides a beautiful conversation starter. The table is painted with images of Palawan including endemic species and a member of the Batak Tribe. Smaller tables round out the restaurant for those who prefer to dine in a less communal manner.

Puerto Princesa, although a small city, can feel a bit hectic. Canvas is set back from a main road providing a quiet place to relax around the swimming pool.
