"A very nice place to relax and soak in the surroundings" -Christine S, Nov 2019

"This fantastic hotel was one of the highlights of our trip" - Paula S, Oct 2019

Colca Lodge is located at an altitude of 3250 metres above sea level in the heart of the stunning landscape of the Colca valley, two and a half hours from Arequipa. The property itself is on the banks of the river and is surrounded by hundreds of pre-Inca agricultural terraces.

The design of the property is of ancient inca-style stone, mud bricks and thatched roofs made up of 45 rooms, restaurants, a spa and hot springs. The rooms are rustic in style but comfortably furnished, set around the properties gardens and courtyards with views over the valley.

The standard rooms are a good size with a thatched roof and en-suite bathrooms with solar powered hot water. They also have small terraces to sit out on and we recommend asking for river views. Suites are more spacious and are good for families or groups who want to sleep up to four in a room. There is also a Panormaic Suite with large windows and doors for fantastic views over the valley.

A great feature of this hotel is the eco-spa where you can indulge in a massage or relax in the Jacuzzi or sauna as well as the fantastic hot springs. There are four pools on the banks of the river which are fed by natural springs producing water of up to 80 degrees Celsius. They have been built using natural stone and are an incredible place to enjoy the stunning setting you are in.

The main restaurant serves 'Alpandina' cuisine as a buffet, this is a fusion of Andean flavours and alpine techniques, the smaller restaurant Puye is a la carte and the Barbecue Bar serves charcoal grilled poultry, trout and meat cooked with Peruvian sauces and Andean herbs. There are also two bars here where you can of course get a pisco sours!

This property is quite remote and the WiFi only works in communal areas but with so much to see and do here you won't miss it!
