Casa Republica is an oasis of peace and quiet in the bustling city of Lima, tucked away near the beautiful cliffs overlooking the Pacific ocean in the art district of Barranco; with an amazing art gallery right across the street and upscale dining in walking distance. But staying in is also a great bet given the beautiful rooms, luxurious bathrooms and world-class staff.

The rooms are split between the original house (there are 8 rooms here) and the new extension - whilst the rooms in the new wing are nice we love the rooms in the original house as they have more ornate features and are more charming. In the old house you will find 1 classic room, 3 superior rooms and 1 suite (which is by far our favourite!) We also love the 2 superior rooms on the ground floor of the main house that have terraces.

There are 5 categories of rooms available between the two wings: Republica Junior Suite, Superior and Classic and Garden Junior Suite and Superior. All rooms have air-conditioning or heating depending on the season, LED TV, WiFi and amazing beds.

Republica Classic is a 17m2, well-appointed room with Queen bed, The Garden Superior is 24m2 with King-sized bed, the Republica Superior is similar but larger with 30m2 and Republica Junior Suite is 33m2 and has an amazing bathtub and Garden Junior Suite is 43m2 and has a comfortable living room.

The hotel’s restaurant is open for an amazing buffet breakfast only and has a solid bar for quiet drinks before having a good night sleep. 24-hour room service is also available.

Additionally, there’s a nice inner garden area and sunbathing terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast. There’s also a game room and library, but if you rather go a little further afield, you can rent bicycles free of charge from the hotel (we don't recommend you tackling the traffic of Lima with these!)

Casa Republica is walking distance from the best art galleries in the city and Barranco’s centre is filled with great views, bars and amazing eats like Cantarrana or Merito restaurants.
