"The Monasterio in Cusco was by all means excellent" - Lawson H, Oct 2019

Moments from Plaza de Armas is an ancient monastery that has been at the heart of the city for centuries. At Belmond Hotel Monasterio, you can dine by candlelight among the cloisters, explore interiors rich with art and antiques or uncover the secrets of Peru’s national drink with a pisco lesson. Belmond Hotel Monasterio is a true jewel in the treasure trove of Cusco.

There are 5 different kinds of accommodations in the property: deluxe rooms, superior rooms, junior suites and one bedroom suites. All of them have a different personality, but offer an absolute feeling of luxury. All furnished with solid wood, local antiques and high-end details, can be enriched with oxygen (for the altitude dizziness), luxurious marble bathrooms, nightly turndown, LCD TV and iPod dock
Deluxe double or twin rooms are 20m2, feature charming colonial interiors with an additional space to relax. Air conditioning is available upon request. Windows look across the courtyard or over the cobbled streets of Cusco. Superior rooms are similar, but some offer city views with outdoor seating area.
Junior Suites (28 m2) aim to be a home away from home, some span two levels. An airy bedroom sits on the mezzanine, while stairs lead down to a spacious living area. Feature King-size or twin beds and air conditioning and heating.
One bedroom Suites (45m2) are at the top tier of luxury that the hotel offers, with a large bedroom, separate living room, large marble bathroom with separate bath and shower, and either a private terrace, patio or balcony. King-size bedding is provided, as well as air conditioning, heating and oxygen enrichment.

Honoring the country’s international gastronomic reputation, the Hotel offers well-rounded dining options, with South American cuisine and internationally inspired twists. Illariy restaurant is located on the gorgeous courtyard and offers breakfast and dinner with mediterranean flair. El Tupay opens for dinner, under candlelit arches, for a more elevated experience.
The Hotel also offers stunning cocktails in a laid-back atmosphere at the Lobby bar and home-baked goods at their corner Deli.

To round the offer, there are some outstanding activities in the premises: from live opera 3 times a week, to a tour of the Hotel’s private colonial art collection to a range of culinary experiences to both adults and kids.

The hotel’s pièce de résistance is its jaw-dropping symmetrical courtyard. Laced with walkways and flowerbeds, the most prominent feature is the towering 300-year-old cedar tree that sits in the middle, to unwind under the starry night. A Therapy room with well-trained wellness professionals can also help with the unwinding, with an a la carte menu of treatments or call your personal Bath Butler to prepare an indulgent end to a day of adventure and exploration!
