Fleewinter

Wanaka Homestead is located a short walk from the lake and a 10 minute stroll along the stunning lakeshore into the centre of town. The main lodge has 5 double bedrooms and there are two separate self-contained and self-catering cottages with 3 and 2 bedrooms respectively. The part wood and part stone façade of the lodge gives it the feel of an alpine ski chalet.

In the summer the surrounding weeping willows and towering redwoods create a beautiful setting. All rooms are equipped with fine linen, en-suite bathrooms and under-floor heating for those chillier months.

All guests have access to mountain bikes, the outdoor hot tub, BBQ and the drying room. Guests in the main lodge are treated to a delicious continental and/or cooked breakfast every morning. This lodge is very well located for skiing in winter and access to all levels of “tramping” in the summer whether you want a stroll along the lake shore or a vigorous lung-busting dash up Roy’s Peak to take in some truly jaw-dropping vistas.
