Cliff Edge by the Sea provides a unique accommodation experience in the stunning Bay of Islands, combining the warmth and comfort of a private residence with the sophistication of a boutique hotel.

The lodge has four guest rooms, and a one bedroom studio apartment. The bedrooms are tastefully appointed, decorated in warm neutral colours with native solid Rimu furnishings and joinery, luxurious carpets, floor to ceiling windows and silk block out curtains. 3 rooms enjoy magnificent, sweeping water views and private balconies. The 4th enjoys extensive bush / sea views, looking through a native bush reserve down to Lemons Bay and Opua Harbour.

The 5 star lodge features a huge guest lounge with floor to ceiling windows and wrap around balcony with magnificent 220 degree waterviews; open wood burning fire place, native timbers throughout, an eclectic mix of beautiful contemporary and antiques, Persian rugs, comfortable leather soft furnishings all of which add warmth, understated elegance and a rich cosy atmosphere.
