Namib Dune Star Camp is an intimate camp with just 9 wooden en-suite cabins dotted around the site. The camp is designed to leave a light footprint on the desert environment, with solar panels providing all electricity for lights and hot water, and water being pumped from a borehole close by. Each of the cabins come with a double bed that can be wheeled out onto the balcony for a night under the stars! There is also a non-movable single bed, allowing sleeping space for families with children. The balconies of the cabins all look out onto the magnificent desert landscape, making this an ideal spot to enjoy sundowners at the end of the day.

In keeping with a minimal footprint, the main areas at the campsite consist of a restaurant and bar area for guests to enjoy. Upon arrival at the camp guests can chose to embark on a 1 hour guided tour of the surrounding dunes – these tours usually take place at sunrise or sunset to ensure maximum comfort for guests. Other activities at the campsite include bird watching and game viewing, while nearby guests can enjoy some guided game drives and general sight-seeing.

Namib Dunes Star Camp is perfectly suited for couples and families with children 12 years and older who are looking for a relaxing couple of nights in the midst of a natural desert environment, whilst still sleeping in comfort.
