Adorned with flowers and surrounded by greenery, the Tai House Resort is run by friendly hands-on owners and is decorated to reflect their Shan heritage.

The picturesque bungalows are set back from the main road, nestled among the trees, and include a small terrace. Inside, visitors will find a cosy and clean base to explore Hsipaw.

Guests have two room types to choose from; superior or deluxe. Both are smart, wooden panelled rooms that feel quite fitting in this rural area, with terraces and seating outside. The superior are smaller with just one little table in the room and no wardrobe, so ideal for single travellers. For couples we really recommend the deluxe, which are more spacious.

The resort offers scenic views of Thein Hill and is a good spot for viewing stunning sunsets. Guests can relax and take in the well-kept gardens or book a trek or guided tour of local highlights. Bicycles can be borrowed for free and provide a convenient way to get out and about.

Free wifi is available in public spaces and the reception desk is manned around the clock.

The restaurant focuses on local food and includes a Shan set menu to give visitors a true taste of local culture at one of the most popular guesthouses in Hsipaw.
