Barra Lodge have 20 traditional Casitas made of brick & reeds. All are built a stone throws from the beach, some with sea-views. All Casitas have a double plus 2 single beds with en suite shower, toilet and handbasin. All bedding and mosquito netting is supplied and rooms are serviced daily. Tea/coffee facilities are also provided.
Barra Lodge also offers a selection of self-catering cottages - 2/3 bedroom with open living area, kithen, shower & handbasin with hot & cold water and seperate toilet. All basic amenities are included - fridge/freezer, 2 plate gas stove, crockery & cutlery and are serviced daily. Rooms each have 2 beds and can sleep up to 6 persons.
The restaurant serves mainly seafood and meals can be enjoyed indoors or outside on the patio by the swimming pool.
The well stocked beach bar is a social point to enjoy the beautiful sunsets, play a game of beach volley ball, pub games or just relax and enjoy the atmosphere with sounds of the ocean in the background.Wednesdays & Saturdays there
You can do as much or as little as you like - activities from snorkeling, scuba diving, dhow trips, quad bike excursions, horse-riding on the beach, water sports or sightseeing are on offer.
Access to Barra Lodge is possible by self-drive from South Africa - you will need more time to include this option. Alternatively there are regular flights from Johannesburg to Inhambane.
