Fine dining, romantic hotels, beautiful sunrises and starlit sunsets. Visit the bustling city of Marrakech, with its colourful souks, dancers, storytellers and musicians. You will be pampered in a traditional hammam and enjoy a candlelight dinner on the rooftop terrace overlooking the old town. The romantic experience will also include a hot air balloon flight for breathtaking views of the hamada desert, villages and Berber oases. From Marrakech drive to the Agafay Desert to spend the night in the glamping tent and go on a private couples camel ride. The starry sky at night is simply magical. Finally take a short drive to the Atlas Mountains to enjoy a tranquil couple of nights surrounded by beautiful nature and 360 degrees panoramic views.
Day 1 - Welcome to Marrakech
Arrive at Marrakech airport where your driver will meet you and take you straight to your riad. A mere 15 minute transfer and then a 5 minute stroll through the medina. There are lots of lovely riads in Marrakech and for this trip you stay in a romantic Riad Adore, right in the centre of the souks and an easy walk to everywhere. In the evening you will enjoy a candlelight dinner on the roof terrace.Accommodation Details
Day 2 - Explore the souks
Enjoy everything Marrakech has to offer. Take an early morning visit to the Majorelle gardens before it gets too hot and all the bus loads of tourists arrive. Spend afternoons visiting the various mosques and historical sites. Visit the main square at night where you can wander among the snake charmers, storytellers and henna tattooists before sitting atop a rooftop bar with a chilled glass of wine watching the action unfold beneath you. In the evening you will indulge yourself with a traditional Moroccan exfoliation and massage in a local hammam.
Day 3 - Hot Air Balloon
Today is an early start but with the rewards of beautiful views. During your hot air balloon flight you will enjoy peaceful birds eye glimpses of the Berber villages, distant mountains, farms, and wildlife. After landing, there is a cadial tent reception for a typical Berber breakfast prepared by the women of the douar (Village) of Oulad El Garn
Day 4 - Agafay Desert Experience:
Following your stay in Marrakech you head for the rendezvous with your driver and the short trip to Scarabeo Camp, luxury “glamping” in the Agafay Desert. Here you stay in a honeymoon tent and enjoy being away from it all. We suggest you arrive for lunch which can be organised either at the camp or in a local village. In the afternoon go on a camel ride in the rough, moon-like scenery. The evening is a great opportunity for shooting star spotting in the clear skies.Accommodation Details
Day 5 - Into the Atlas
From the Agafay desert head up into the Atlas Mountains. A spectacular place to stay is Kasbah Bab Ourika perched on its own summit overlooking the Ourika valley. A great base for some mountain walks, visits to the markets in the surrounding villages and just soaking up the views. You are also only an hour away from the airport so finishing here makes for a relaxing journey home.Accommodation Details
