Nkhila Lodge is a unique tented wilderness camp located on a high plateau in the heart of Marrakech's Agafay Desert.
These romantic ensuite tents, with transparent ceilings, are situated 15 metres apart to ensure privacy, and enable a unique view of the African night sky. The camp is solar-powered and designed for guests to experience the night-time magic of Africa's dark skies. Alternatively, choose to stay in a comfortable desert nomad tent.
At Nkhila candlelit meals are served directly to guests on their private balconies, al fresco, or in one of the canopy-covered wilderness dining areas. The Agafay Desert is a natural adventure playground. A popular daytime activity from camp is a camel ride to the adobe village of Douar Nkhila and its palm oasis. Head out on foot on a guided desert walk to a nearby river valley and beyond. Or head out of camp to ride a quad bike on one of the distant Agafay desert trails. Nkhila's desert cooking school runs daily workshops for guests who like to cook!
Facilities include a restaurant tent plus outdoor canopy-covered dining areas, a cosy Moroccan salon tent, a stargazing deck with telescope, a desert cooking school offering daily cooking classes, tour booking service, sun loungers, viewpoint canopies for shade and relaxation, free Wi-fi, free parking, pétanque, outdoor fire pit, binoculars, bird guides, planispheres and chess available for guest use.
Guests can choose to dine at Nkhila in either the dining tent or outside under one of the outdoor canopy-covered dining areas. Alternatively choose to dine under candle-light on your private stargazing tent balcony.
