Bespoke desert experience
You won't find any sand dunes here, but a very soft rocky field with breath-taking landscapes, lights that vary depending on the time of the day and snow-capped peaks, including Toubkal in the background – only 30 kilometres from Marrakech!
In the middle of a vast space of 10 hectares, the camp consists of two parts. The upper part includes a restaurant, "the Soukoune" (quietness in Arabic), which welcomes guests passing through for lunch or a dinner. INARA camp offers 9 tents with panoramic views, known as ‘Emotion’ tents, 6 tents known as the discovery tents and 3 luxurious suite tents with canyon views, called ‘Inara’ tents. All tents offer an ultimate level of comfort and are fitted with electricity outlets.
To fully appreciate the stargazing at night, the bivouac accommodation offers the unique opportunity of spending a night in the desert. Designed in the spirit of travel and expedition by Vincent Jaquet, each tent is harmoniously arranged for a perfect experience and offers comforts and unexpected quality of service for this desert environment. All the used materials were picked from local Moroccan handicrafts and transformed to daily uses.
All tents are equipped with:
- Private salon/ living room
- Terrace of wood with sun bed and outdoor salon
- Bathroom with shower (hot water)
- Toilets (separated in the EMOTION TENTS)
- Wood stove in the cold time
- Evaporative air cooler in the summer
- Orange blossom “Les sens de Marrakech” amenities with shower gel, shampooing and peel hydrating milk.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be always served in different place even if the guests stay several days.
- The camp remains secluded and maintains the peace and the quiet of so their dreams become true.
The Desert Lagoon offers you breath-taking views of the desert overlooking the canyon, it is the ideal place to admire the sunset, and enjoy the heated swimming pool all year round, with a blue background and turquoise water. The pool was built according to the Bio-design model and is maintained at a constant temperature of 27°C all year round, it is made of sand and quartz cast in a porous resin.
In the upper part of the camp, offering an unforgettable view of the desert and the Atlas Mountains, the « Soukoune » restaurant is open for lunch, diners and events (receptions, weddings and seminars).
What I can do in the desert?
Vincent and his team organise many activities on site: Camel ride (40 min with a private guide), quad bike or buggies are the most requested. A horse ride, 4x4 Safari, E-bike or mountains bike are amazing too. A lunch in a traditional Berber house is always an unforgettable experience. A fantastic experience will be the Camel Trek in the desert with the local team. Departure at 9.00 am for a soft walk of 12 km across the desert. Your guide will share with you all his desert’s knowledge and enjoy a picnic in the middle of nowhere for the lunch. Back to the camp around 4.00 pm.
Inara Camp is 14 km away from the Lalla Takerkoust Lake, offering countless water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddling, jet skiing, hover board, banana boat.
Private lunch in the mountains: For a refreshing day during the summer, to discover the Atlas mountains or to appreciate a marvellous view of the Toubkal peak (the highest peak of Morocco it’s 4167 m), the picnic will be the ultimate experience. In contrast with the aridity of the Agafay desert, in a few kilometres you will be in the middle of this lush nature.
