This is our clients’ favorite day trip from Marrakech, allowing you to delve right into the mountains and experience village life firsthand. It is a relaxing day, and the pace of the trip will be decided by you. We include a mountain guide to lead you away from the touristy areas in Imlil village, and you will have lunch in a Berber house overlooking the valley. Stunning scenery, a bit of light exercise, and observing traditional Berber life in the many villages scattered around the hillside make this a good antidote to the hustle and bustle of the Medina.
The guides can be a little shy, but do ask questions as they are very proud of their region. If time allows on the way home, you can ask your driver to stop at Richard Branson’s Kasbah Tamadot for tea – a beautiful location and a complete contrast from the rest of your day.
We also have an option to turn it into a proper mule trek, allowing you to walk further and deeper into the mountains – just let us know how long you want to walk. Stunning scenery, a bit of light exercise, and observing traditional Berber life in the many villages dotted around the hillside make this a good antidote to the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Additionally, we recommend a mule or two if there are children in the group.
The package includes:
Private transfer with English speaking driver
Local guide
