Day 1 - Welcome to the Maldives!

Arrive into Malé this morning following your overnight flight, and hop straight on a speedboat to your island home for the next week – Baros.

Settle in to your cosy villa on the beach, before a sunset dinner at the striking Lighthouse Restaurant.

Day 2 - Explore Baros

Adjust to the relaxed pace of the island today. Baros is a serene, pristine island. Soak it all in!

Day 3 - Check out the house reef

Baros has a house reef, so there is coral and marine life to enjoy just metres from the shoreline. Head out with just a snorkel or grab a paddleboard or transparent canoe if you prefer.

There is a dive centre on the island and several excellent dive sites in the Malé atoll you can visit on a boat trip. We’d also recommend spending some time with the resident Marine Biologist if you get a chance.

Day 4 - Spa day

Consider booking some treatments at the Serenity Spa today.

Day 5 - Day trip

Take a day trip today.

You could head to the Maldivian capital of Malé and explore the markets and spot houses made of natural coral. Or go on a fishing excursion  and learn the traditional techniques. A relaxing sunset cruise is a must too – and don’t forget your camera, it’s impossible to take a bad picture of a Maldives sunset

Day 6 - Destination dining

Book an extra special dining experience for your last night. Dine on the Piano deck floating in the ocean, or on a private sandbank.

Day 7 - Time to head to Sri Lanka

It’s back to the airport today, and on to your next adventure! It’s under 2 hours to Colombo airport, and your driver will meet you in the arrivals hall.

Hop in your private air conditioned vehicle for the transfer to the cultural heart of Sri Lanka and rest in your hotel at the base of striking Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Dine at your hotel and get an early night.

Day 8 - Sigiriya & Safari

After an early breakfast, climb Sigiriya Lion’s Rock before the heat of the day sets in.

The Sigiriya rock fortress is a remarkable feat of engineering and a fascinating example of artistic craftsmanship. It’s most famous for its frescoes painted on the rock surface itself, and the incredible views as you ascend.

Later, head on to Minneriya National Park, one of the best places in the country to see elephants in a natural habitat. The ‘Elephant Gathering’ is a unique experience to witness, between May and September. There are also huge numbers of birds, deer and crocodiles in the scrubland.

Spend the evening resting at your hotel. Perhaps book into the spa for a treat after a long but exhilarating day.

Day 9 - Kandy

Check out, and enjoy a more leisurely day today, including some time to explore Kandy city and a cookery demonstration at your hotel.

Day 10 - Colombo & Fly Home

Depending on your flight time, this is the perfect day to visit a working tea plantation, and take a walking tour of Colombo with lots of street food stops.

Your driver will drop you and your luggage at the airport for your flight home.
