Exploring Maldives

Child-free Maldives Island Stay

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to the Maldives

Arrive after your overnight flight and hop straight on a speedboat for your transfer to Baros, your home for the week.

With just 75 villas spread across the beach and over the water, Baros is a serene island with plenty of space, and ideal for couples looking to spend time together.

Settle in to your water villa and head to the Sails bar for a drink when you are ready – the ideal spot to see your first Maldives sunset.

Day 2 to 5 - Enjoy the island

Pack your agenda, or keep it relaxed – there is plenty on offer at Baros.

Snorkelling is a must, as the underwater world of the Maldives is as important as the above sea-level world. Baros has a house reef, so you can snorkel directly from your water villa or the shoreline and see lots of fish, and if you are lucky turtles and manta rays too. Exploring by paddle board and kayak is also a great idea, and definitely take a boat trip one day – you are likely to see whale sharks.

There is also a spa on the island, plus dive centre and marine centre.

Day 6 - Private dining

There are 3 restaurants so you have some variety over your nights, but one night consider treating yourself to a private dining experience on a sandbank, a floating deck in the ocean, or in your villa.

Day 7 - Last day

It’s your last day to enjoy the towering palms, perfect beaches and stunning coral reef.

You fly home tomorrow, but can stay on the island until the last moment your speedboat leave for the airport.

Luxuriate on an child-free island in the middle of the Indian ocean

While many Maldives resorts pride themselves on being family-friendly, others are havens with a more adult vibe.

This itinerary is just a sample of how you could spend a child-free week at Baros, a 5* island in the Maldives. How you actually spend your days is totally up to you.

Browse our Best for Couples page for some more adult-oriented resort inspiration and contact our Maldives specialist to discuss in more detail. We often recommend different resorts at different times of the year, and you could even consider a multi-island hop.
