With access to jungle trails, soft beaches, and clear ocean, Tunamaya provides an island getaway that balances leisure with the option of activity.

The villas of Tunamaya have varying views: garden, rainforest, the sea, or a partial sea-garden. Each has its own veranda or deck. Beach Cluster Villas have one king bed and overlook the ocean. The more spacious Beach Villas look out to the beach and also have one king bed. Beach Family Villas are the same size and have one queen and one single bed with beach access. Garden Family Villas look out on the garden and rainforest and have one queen and one single bed. Rainforest and Rainforest Family Villas are set on the hillside at the edge of the rainforest with tropical garden views. These have either one king bed or a queen plus single bed. The larger Partial Family Villas have partial sea views with one queen and one single bed.

Pawana Restaurant serves a mix of local and international fare at breakfast and dinner. Lunch, snacks, and casual meals are available at Ombak Bar.

Jungle trekking is available directly from the resort's property. The dive centre arranges both SCUBA diving and snorkelling for new and experienced divers. Batik painting classes, outdoor film screenings, and indoor games are available. The resort's spa offers a variety of treatments including massage, scrubs, facials, manicures, pedicures, and a few treatments designed especially for kids.

Tunamaya is located in the southern part of Pulau Tioman, a quiet area reached by boat. The island can be reached by ferry from the port in Mersing, an approximately two-hour boat ride. Upon arrival on the island at the ferry port of Genting, the resort's boat greets guests for transfer from ferry to hotel.
Mersing is around two or two and a half hours from the airport in Johor Bahru, four and a half or more hours from Kuala Lumpur, and three hours from Singapore.

Exploring elsewhere on the island requires arranging for boat transport which the hotel can help with.

Please note that WiFi is only available in common areas and is not as fast or as reliable as on the mainland.
