All guest rooms have a private balcony or terrace with an oversize daybed. A four-poster king or two single beds are available in most room categories and all rooms have a spacious bathroom with double sinks, a rainfall shower, and a soaking tub. We love the Viceroy and Grand Viceroy rooms for the sea and pool views.
Ten beach villas have private infinity pools with sun loungers. Most are one-bedroom villas, suitable for a maximum of three people. One 2-bedroom Empress Villa has one king-sized and two single beds making it a good family option. Villa guests enjoy an afternoon snack, daily replenishment of the minibar, and daily laundry services.
The hotel has bicycles and kayaks available for guest use, a kids club with regular activities, a full spa, and can arrange babysitting. Bubbly and a la carte breakfast are served at Planter's which is also open for dinner. In the evening, the restaurant serves a range of Asian, Mediterranean, and European-inspired cuisine. The poolside Terrace is open throughout the afternoon and evening with a menu focused on seafood, Italian fare, and light meals. Daily happy hour drink specials are in place from 5 to 7pm. Straits & Co offers afternoon tea, snacks, desserts, and other bites in a casual cafe setting with both al fresco and air conditioned seating. Cocktails and live music can be enjoyed in The Verandah Lounge in the evenings. The attached Churchill Room serves as a wine and cigar room.
The Danna is located in the Pantai Kok area of Langkawi, approximately 20 minutes drive from the airport and 25 minutes drive to the busy beach area of Pantai Cenang. The hotel is not far from the cable car and sky bridge where a few restaurants can be found. Telaga Terminal, with its ferries to and from Koh Lipe in Thailand, is less than 5 minutes' drive from The Danna.
