Rooms are divided into the Tanjung and Kinabalu Wings and all have private balconies. Rooms in the Tanjung Wing face the South China Sea while those in the Kinabalu Wing are a mix of mountain and sea view rooms. All are comfortably appointed in peaceful colors with luxurious touches throughout. Spacious suites in both wings offer separate dining and sitting areas.
Café TATU offers all-day dining with a mix of Western and Asian cuisine. Peppino and Shang Palace serve, respectively, Italian and Chinese fare. Coco Joe's has outlets by the pool and Sunset Beach serving a mix of snacks, beverages, BBQ, Western, and Asian options. In the evenings, the Sunset Bar offers light snacks and the best place to enjoy a sundowner in all of Kota Kinabalu.
In addition to a generously sized swimming pool, a water play area provides water slides for children and children-at-heart. Use of a staffed kids club is available although some services require an extra fee. A small private beach is available for guests at the resort. Boats leave the marina for Sapi, Gaya, Manukan, and Mamutik islands throughout the day where nature walks, snorkeling and other water activities can be arranged.
The resort's STAR Marina is also home to a dive centre and offers instruction and equipment hire for paddleboarding, windsurfing, hobie sailing, and ocean kayaking. Motorized watersports such as jet skis and parasailing can also be arranged. Coastal and deep sea fishing trips are also on offer.
A 9-hole pitch and putt golf course, two tennis courts, jogging track, and one of the largest fitness centres in Borneo provide ample variety for those wishing to stay active while in Kota Kinabalu. Chi, The Spa, sits on an island connected to the resort by a private causeway. A selection of treatments are designed to showcase Borneo traditions of culture and well-being. Some utilize local herbs, clay, and other native ingredients. An open air yoga studio faces the water.
