A Singapore icon where every room is a suite, history awaits at every corner, and the garden oasis is a genuine escape from the steaming city.

A grand historic hotel, Raffles Singapore has grown from 10 bungalows in 1887 to the elegant all-suite grande dame of the city. While much of the arcade can be explored by visitors, the lobby and other areas of the hotel are only accessible to guests. With its vaulted ceilings and lush gardens, a sense of peace and calm prevails, blocking out all noise and bustle.

There are nine different types of suites ranging in size and location within the grounds. All are handsomely decorated with custom-made furnishings, four-poster beds, and a modern aesthetic that blends the hotel's history and tradition with contemporary brightness. Most suites are available with either one king or two queen beds.

Studio suites are located above the Grand Lobby, are suitable for two guests, have a verandah with views of the Palm Garden. Promenade Suites which are only available with a king bed, are nestled in a front corner of the Main building facing Beach Road. These suites feature a bedroom, dressing area, and parlour. Courtyard Suites are located near the main building with verandahs that open to the main courtyard. State Room Suites are located in the most historic section of the hotel with easy access to the Arcade. These spacious suites can sleep three people and have two entrances: one to the bedroom and another to the sitting area. Verandahs face the Fern Court. Palm Court Suites might be our favourite with their verandah views of the private Palm Court, accessible only to hotel guests. Breakfast can be served on the verandah, one of the most tranquil spots in all of Singapore.

For those who like a bit of history with their mini-bar, the Personality Suites are each a tribute to renowned guests who have visited Raffles Singapore over the last century. Decorated with memorabilia related to each suite's namesake, the suites include Somerset Maugham, Ava Gardner, Joseph Conrad, and Oscar Wilde. If it's a home-from-home you're seeking, Residence Suites provide one and two-bedroom options with a living and dining area, pantry, and office space.

If you're looking for maximum space and luxury, Grand Hotel and Presidential Suites can sleep up to six guests in one and two-bedroom options. These over-sized suites have private verandahs, prime locations, living and dining areas, walk-in wardrobes or dressing rooms, and more.

Guests are greeted with a signature Singapore Sling upon arrival although we think a visit to the historic Long Bar is still worth it. 24-hour butler service is available to assist with everything from in-suite check-in to packing up at the end of the stay. During a stay, guests may enjoy a Raffles History Tour with a Resident Historian.

Breakfast is served in the Tiffin Room which serves North Indian cuisine later in the day. Afternoon tea - which must be reserved well in advance - is served in The Grand Lobby. Singapore Raffles is also home to Long Bar where peanut shells are thrown on the floor; the more refined Writers Bar; Raffles Courtyard with its al fresco bar and lounge; and Butcher's Block. Celebrity Chef Dining Venues have also been incorporated with the recent renovation. La Dame De Pic is the first to open, a Michelin-starred French restaurant. BBR by alain ducasse, a Mediterranean tapas grill helmed by Alain Ducasse, and yƬ by Jereme Leung which serves contemporary Chinese cuisine will follow.

Raffles Hotel is located amongst the civic and business districts, approximately 20-minutes drive from Changi International Airport. A number of the city's sights can be reached on foot within 10-15 minutes walk such as Marina Bay, Chinatown, and the National Museum. A variety of restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance.
