Once the setting of traditional shophouses and terraces, Hotel Penaga is an art-filled respite with a quiet garden, lap pool, and generously sized guest rooms in George Town.

Rooms are furnished with antique pieces and adorned with a variety of original artworks. The feel is that of a Straits Chinese home with carefully curated paintings, rugs, and other design-elements. Accommodation is spread across multiple buildings. Hutton rooms can be accessed by lift and offer a king bed, jacuzzi tub, and indoor sitting area. Many have balconies and some span two stories with a sitting area on one level and bed above.

Clark Terraces are ideal for families as these are complete homes with living and dining areas, kitchenette, two bedrooms, a private garden with seating and a jacuzzi tub, and an upstairs balcony overlooking the main garden. For families who don't wish to climb stairs, The Penaga Suite has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living space in a corner setting with ample natural light. Transfer Suites are set above Penaga Spa and have separate living and bedrooms. Suites on the top floor have two balconies: one quite large with views toward Penang Hill and the other off the bedroom facing the garden.

Cinnamon Restaurant dishes up a mix of Asian and western cuisine. A selection of snacks and range of drinks are available at Tanglung Bar & Lounge. Penaga Spa provides a variety of treatments in a tranquil setting with an emphasis on indigenous plants, remedies, and treatments. A small lap pool and lush garden fill the space between the hotel's buildings.

Hotel Penaga is located in George Town, approximately 40 minutes drive from Penang International Airport. Restaurants, markets, street food hawkers, and many of the city's highlights are within walking distance.
